Most computers have less than adequate speakers for listening to music
videos. It is difficult to hear the best of what the videos have to offer...full,
rich sound from the instruments and vocals.
Using an inexpensive headset that plugs into your computer will make a
significant improvement in the quality of your listening experience.
1. Determine what type of plug compatibility you need.
2. Start cheap. It is possible that a headset you already own for other sound
systems will also work on the computer. I have used headsets available on
commercial airplanes for viewing in-flight videos (same plug). They work
great. The cost..somewhere between $5 and "free".
3. If you purchase retail, an inexpensive headset can cost under $20. In
addition, the inexpensive models are usually lighter weight, making them far
more comfortable than heavier expensive models.
